Eye Examinations

All eye examinations are carried out by Mr Andrew Pennington BSC (Hons) Optometrist offering unsurpassed continuity of care.

Each patient is offered a 30 minute consultation to allow for a thorough eye examination.

Using the most advance equipment and our extensive experience we are able to obtain accurate diagnosis in order to establish the best solutions to your requirements.

Retinal photography is also available.

Free NHS Sight Tests & Optical Vouchers

You will be entitled to a free sight test and/or an optical voucher if you are in one of these groups:

• Under 16 years old

• In full time education aged 16,17,18

• 60 or over

• Income support

• Income based Job seekers Allowance

• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

• Pension Credit guarantee credit

• Tax Credit and named on a valid NHS Tax Credit Exemption Certificate

• Named on a valid HC2 or HC3 certificate

• Registered blind/ partially sighted

• Suffer from diabetes/ glaucoma

• Considered to be at risk of glaucoma by an ophthalmologist

• 40 or over and the parent/ brother/sister/child of a person who has had glaucoma

• Prisoner on leave from prison

• Prescribed complex lenses under the NHS optical voucher scheme
